SIPP Relief Grants

January 2024

DONATE to support SIPP.

In response to the hardships to Israeli and Palestinian communities due to the war in Gaza, SIPP established a limited Relief Grant program. These small grants are intended to assist organizations that work with both Jews and Arabs with special needs.

SIPP awarded the following three Relief Grants:

Ein Bustan: The Ein Bustan preschool/kindergarten is located in an Arab village in Israel's southern Gallilee region. It serves both Jewish and Arab students. SIPP's Relief Grant is helping the school build out a safe room to protect students and staff from rocket fire from Syria and Lebanon.

Keshet: Keshet is an organization located in Mitzpe Ramon (Negev Desert) which provides services to Jewish and Bedouin communities in the region. SIPP's Relief Grant is helping fund medical equipment and training for local Bedouin unrecognized villages. These communities were directly affected by the rocket fire coming from Gaza.

Keshet: Keshet is an organization located in Mitzpe Ramon (Negev Desert) which provides services to Jewish and Bedouin communities in the region. In the wake of the October 7 massacres, thousands of people from communities bordering Gaza found refuge in communities in the Negev. SIPP's Relief Grant is helping fund artistic and cultural activities for these internal refugees in conjunction with the local Jewish and Bedouin residents.

In addition to the above Relief Grants, SIPP also approved the redirection of the mini-grant we previously issued to Beit Umar (in the West Bank) for a composting program so that the funds could be used for much needed medical supplies and food.
